Day 01: ARRIVE DELHI
Arrive at Delhi airport / railways station, meet and greet by ITM representative. Our representative will explain the tour scheduled in detail and handover all the tour related documents to you. Rest of the day free for leisure activities. Overnight Delhi.
Day 02: DELHI – CHANDIGARH
After breakfast and check out from the hotel drive to Chandigarh. Chandigarh, derives its name from the Chandi Mandir temple located in the vicinity of the city and a fort or ‘garh” beyond the temple, called Chandigarh. Chandigarh is a union territory, administered by the Government of India and was designed by Le Corbusier. On arrival Chandigarh. Check in at hotel. Overnight Chandigarh.
Day 03: CHANDIGARH – SHIMLA
After breakfast visit Sukhna Lake, Rock Garden and Rose garden. Later continue drive to Shimla, Shimla is the capital of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, in the Himalayan foothills. Once the summer capital of British India, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Kalka-Shimla Railway, completed in 1903. It’s also known for the handicraft shops that line The Mall, a pedestrian avenue, as well as the Lakkar Bazaar, a market specializing in wooden toys and crafts. On arrival Shimla check in at hotel. Overnight Shimla.
Day 04: SHIMLA
After breakfast proceed for full day Shimla tour visit Gothic Christ church. This Christ church is located on the Shimla’s prominent Ridge. Even today, the church has some interesting memorial tablets while the pews still mark the seats of British Viceroy of India, the Commander-in-Chief and the Punjab’s Governor. Later we visit the Jakhoo Hill. It is the highest point in Shimla and offers a spectacular view of the town, hills and distant mountain ranges. The peak has a temple dedicated to the Lord Hanuman. After visiting the temple we return back to hotel. In the evening we visit the Mall and Scandal Point for shopping. Scandal Point is the hub of Shimla’s social life and is said to be so named after a British Commander-in-Chief’s daughter eloped from the spot with the Maharaja of Patiala. Overnight Shimla.
Day 05: SHIMLA – MANALI
After breakfast drive to Manali. On arrival check into the hotel. Evening explore The Tibetan market. It has many stalls selling shawls and other woolen clothes and souvenirs. Overnight Manali.
Day 06: MANALI
Post breakfast proceed for an excursion to Rohtang Pass (At your own Cost through Union Vehicle), located 51 kms from Manali, 3978 meters high, which for centuries was the gateway to the trading routes that led to Lahaul, Ladakh and Central Asia. From the crest of the pass, one can take in a sweeping panorama of mountain ranges, pinnacles, precipitous cliffs, ridges, huge glaciers, moraine and deep ravines. Evening return back to hotel. Overnight Manali.
Day 07: MANALI
After breakfast visit the Jagatsukh Naggar Art Gallery, Hadimba Devi Temple and The Tibetan Monastery before proceeding to Vashisht village, just outside Manali, across the river Beas, known for its hot sulphur springs whose water is said to have curative properties. Evening free to relax at hotel. Overnight Manali.
Day 08: MANALI – DHARAMSHALA
Post breakfast drive to Dharamshala. Surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of the Himalayas, this hillside city is home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile. The Thekchen Chöling Temple Complex is a spiritual center for Tibetan Buddhism, while the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives houses thousands of precious manuscripts. On arrival check into the hotel. Evening you can visit the colourful Kotiwali Bazaar and Kangra Art Museum –displaying miniature paintings, elaborately embroidered costumes of Kangra people , wood carvings, tribal jewellery and , to cap it all, a million and a half year old fossil of an elephant’s tooth. Overnight Dharamshala.
Day 09: DHARAMSHALA – DALHOUSIE
After breakfast drive to Dalhousie, Dalhousie is a small hill station that still retains much of its charm. Dalhousie is clothed in stately groves of deodar and oak. On arrival check into the hotel. Take visit of Kalatope wild life sanctuary. Overnight Dalhousie.
Day 10: DALHOUSIE
After breakfast full day sightseeing of Khajjiar , a popular tourist spot, the most beautiful and lush green place where you can enjoy photography and Horse riding own your own. It’s also known as ‘Mini switzerland’. Take visit of Rang Mahal. is home to the Himachal Emporium ,Evening visit Gandhi market for shopping. Overnight Dalhousie
Day 11: DALHOUSIE – PATHANKOT – DELHI (OVERNIGHT TRAIN)
After breakfast rest of the day free for leisure activities. Afternoon drive to Pathankot. On arrival Pathankot transfer to railway station to board on train to Delhi. Overnight Train
Day 12: DELHI / DEPARTURE
Afternoon arrive at Delhi railway station. On arrival meeting assistance and transfer to airport for your onwards destination with the happy memories of your tour and our services.
