Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located high in the Himalayas in the north-eastern part of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Spiti Valley, also known as the middle land, has become a popular alternative as it offers the raw adventure and nature to those who are looking for such trips. Spiti and Lahaul district is surrounded by high mountain ranges. Start your bikes from Manali and ride to some of the most surreal places in India which will leave you breathless. the northern route from Manali, Himachal Pradesh or Keylong via the Rohtang Pass or Kunzum Pass, respectively, the valley lies in the North Eastern section of the Indian state Himachal Pradesh, and forms part of the Lahaul and Spiti district. The sub-divisional headquarters capital is Kaza, Himachal Pradesh which is situated along the Spiti River at an elevation of about 12,500 feet (3,800 m) above mean sea level.

Day 01: DELHI MANALI

Evening ITM Holiday’s representative will assist you to board on Volvo bus, Board the bus from Majnu Ka Tilla at 5 PM. Overnight journey in bus.

Day 02: ARRIVAL MANALI

Upon arrival at Manali, ITM Holidays representative will transfer you to your pre-booked hotel. Before you start your bike expedition there will be an introduction session among other team members and brief about the trips. Start your bike and explore the local sightseeing in Manali. Evening return to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03: MANALI – KUNZUM PASS – KAZA

After breakfast check out from hotel, Manali is the first stage, travel 200 km through Himalayas to Kaza. As you gain elevation and reach the bewitching Rohtang Pass and Kunzum Pass. Just as you reach the Spiti district and you visit Losal, Hal and Ragrik. Upon arrival to Kaza check in to pre-booked guest house and relax overnight.

Day 04: KAZA

Wake up early morning and don’t miss the sunrise. Kaza is the subdivisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley in the western Himalayas in the Lahaul and Spiti. After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Kibber, Kibber is located at 14000 feet. Kibber famous for ancient monastery and fossils. This centuries – old gompa is a labyrinth of rooms and corridors – and at one time also acted as a fort. It houses valuable thangkas and offers a panoramic view of the area. Then you visit Hikkim, The highest post office in the world (14400 feet). Evening return to Kaza. Oernight at Kaza.

Day 05: KAZA – PIN VALLEY – TABO

After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to to Pin Valley – a tributary of the Spiti River, ‘Pin’ originates deep in the Trans Himalayan Mountains leading to one of the ancient trade routes and popular trek of Bhaba Pass. It is also home to the magnificent Snow Leopard and several Trans Himalayan animals and rare birds protected under the National Parks of India. You’ll drive through this beautiful valley up to last village of Mudh before heading towards Tabo. Tabo is renowned for its breathtaking murals and stucco images – and is often called “The Ajanta of the Himalayas”. The largest monastic complex in Spiti, the old section has 9 temples, 23 chortens, a monk’s chamber and a nun’s chamber. There are several caves adorned with frescoes and contemporary structures too. Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 06: TABO – DHANKAR – KAZA

After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Dhankar Gompa. Gompa rests high over the valley and is a stupendous example of local architecture. It is regarded to have once been a fort and was also the residence of the ruler of Spiti – the Nano. Also visit the Lalung Gompa. Later continuous drive to Kaza. Overnight at Kaza.

Day 07: KAZA – CHANDRATAL

After breakfast check out and drive to Chandratal. Chandratal Lake is a blue turquoise patch amidst Rocky Mountains. The first sight of the lake would leave you speechless. The silence of the lake and the beauty of the surrounding nature are inexplicable. The lake is also famous for a pleasant camping experience. Evening reach campsite. Overnight Chandratal.

Day 08: CHANDRATAL – MANALI/DEPARTURE

Wake up early, have breakfast and continue your journey towards Manali. Our Spiti Bike trip ends here. Evening catch the Volvo bus for Delhi and your home along with the memories of lifetime.

 

Terms & Conditions

  • There will be refundable security of 5000 per person which needs to be paid at the Manali Office( will be refunded at the end of the trip)
  • Mobile with only postpaid connection is valid. The best of all are BSNL and AIRTEL.
  • In this region there is no relevance between the distance and time travelling as it depends upon the conditions of roads, climate and congestion of traffic.
  • If Roads is not open due to heavy snowfall/ Landslides/ Political issue/natural calamities/ uncertain events; then guest have to stay at the same place without any option . Company shall not be held responsible for Road Blocks/ Natural calamities/ uncertain events.
  • If guest decide to discontinue the trip or want any kind of changes in the itinerary in that case guest have to pay additional amount to the company.
