Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located high in the Himalayas in the north-eastern part of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Spiti valley in winters is entirely the transformed version of Spiti we had seen earlier in summers. So you experience winter snowfall and sub-zero temperatures in a land where everything is frozen for few months. The Spiti Valley in winters is really different and unique as there are only a few visitors and you feel the whole valley belongs to you. You get ample time to talk, stay and interact with the Spitian’s. They make you taste the most wonderful delectable local cuisines.

Day 01: Shimla – Sangla / Chitkul

Before you start your expedition there will be an introduction session among other team members and brief about the trip. Start your journey to Chitkul, enroute visit Kufri and Narkanda and enter the Spiti Valley. En route over Hindustan Tibet Highway at Karcham. Now you enter the Kinnaur district, where a dam is built at the confluence of Baspa and Sutlej rivers. Reached chitkul by evening and spend your time at the last Indian village of the China Border in Chitkul. Overnight stay at Chitkul.

Day 02: Sangla / Chitkul – Nako – Tabo

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Tabo. On the way of Tabo you see upstream of the Sutlej river till Khab, the confluence of Spiti and Sutlej. Later on continuous drive to Tabo. Before reach the Tabo, you see another village Nako (3800 m). Artificial lake is a famous attraction of Nako, which in the late spring is a sight to behold with pink flowers bloom all around the lake. After visiting the Nako and drive to Tabo crossing the villages Chango and Shalkar. Evening reached the Tabo and check in at your pre-booked Homestay / Guesthouse. Overnight stay at Tabo.

Day 03: Tabo – Dhankar – Kaza

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Dhankar Gompa. Gompa rests high over the valley and is a stupendous example of local architecture. It is regarded to have once been a fort and was also the residence of the ruler of Spiti – the Nano. Also visit the Lalung Gompa. Later continuous drive to Kaza. On arrival Kaza check in at your hotel / camp. Overnight at Kaza.

Day 04: Kaza

Wake up early morning and don’t miss the sunrise. Kaza is a sub-divisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley in the western Himalayas in the Lahaul and Spiti. After breakfast and get ready for dull day sightseeing and drive to Kibber, Kibber is located at 14000 feet. Kibber famous for ancient monastery and fossils. This centuries – old gompa is a labyrinth of rooms and corridors – and at one time also acted as a fort. It houses valuable thangkas and offers a panoramic view of the area. Then you visit Hikkim, The Highest post office in the world (14400 feet) and send the message through postcards to your friends and family members from here. The road continuously meanders above 4400m till you reach the village of Langza. The village of Komic – the highest village in the world with a motorable road at a height of 4580m. Tangyud Gompa (Monastery) is the jewel of the place and Evening return to the Kaza hotel / camp. Overnight at Kaza.

Day 05: Kaza – Kalpa

After breakfast, check out from Kaza and drive to Kalpa. The Kalpa is a little village above the town of Recong Peo, and it offers one of the most magnificent views of snow-capped peaks called the Kinner Kailash range, winter abode of Lord Shiva. On arrival Kalpa check in at your Homestay / guesthouse. Overnight stay at Kalpa.

Day 06: Kalpa – Shimla/Departure

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Shimla and leave your last stop of the beautiful Spiti Valley ride. Enroute visit Narkanda and Kufri. Evening reached Shimla and your beautiful trips end here. Catch the Volvo bus for Delhi and your home along with the memories of Lifetime.
